Why One Photographer Can Serve All Three

THE THROUGHLINE.

A lawyer needs serious and commanding. A teacher needs warm and approachable. A tech founder needs sharp but human. An actor needs range. The session starts the same way every time — direction, coaching, expression work — but the result is calibrated to who you are and what the photo has to do.

The camera does about 10% of the work. The other 90% is what’s happening on your face — and that’s coachable.

How do I know which path is right for me?

If you’re booking for yourself for a specific professional reason (LinkedIn, career pivot, single event), an individual session is your path. If you’re booking for a team — even a small one — the corporate path makes more sense because pricing and logistics work differently. Actors get their own path because the deliverables, file formats, and direction style are all genre-specific.

Do you only photograph in Geneva, or do you travel?

The studio is in Geneva, IL. Individual sessions happen there. Corporate sessions happen on-location wherever your team is — across Chicago and the suburbs, NW Indiana, Madison/Milwaukee, Champaign-Urbana, and Bloomington-Normal — all included in retainer programs. Outside that region we handle as custom.

Can you photograph couples, families, or non-headshot work?

Not currently. The whole business is built around the headshot method — direction, coaching, expression — and that focus is what makes the work consistent. For families or couples I can refer you to photographers I trust.

How far out do I need to book?

Individual sessions are usually bookable within 1-2 weeks. Corporate sessions and on-site visits typically need 3-4 weeks of lead time to coordinate scheduling, headcount, and any travel logistics.
